Educational counseling deals specifically with advising and assisting students in developing their educational plans, choosing the right courses, and selecting a college or technical school. The aim of this type of counseling is to provide guidance for the future.
Family counseling comes in many forms. The Monterey Bay Educational Center works to provide or locate the right counselor for individuals, families, and couples to help resolve any conflicts they may encounter in everyday life.
*Mental Health: In Mental Health Counseling, the client develops realistic goals and healthy approaches to dealing with mental and emotional health issues. By offering skills in coping and communication, counselors improve self-esteem, promote changes in behavior, and work towards improving overall mental well-being.
*Family counseling: The Monterey Bay Educational Center offers family counseling on topics including communication within the family, parenting, structure changes within the family, and conflict among siblings.
*Couples Counseling: Counseling for people dealing with conflict and establishing real goals to work toward in their relationship.
A major goal of Monterey Bay Educational Center is to support and give individuals with self-esteem issues strategies to coping with life challenges.
